Who we are

SiteAudit is a free Chrome extension made by Web Design Products, a web design studio based in Shropshire, United Kingdom.

The extension

SiteAudit collects no personal data at all.
  • It reads the page you are actively viewing, and only when you click the extension.
  • The audit runs entirely in your browser. No page content, URL or result is ever sent to us or to anyone else.
  • It sets no cookies and stores nothing about your browsing.
  • It contains no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers.
  • It makes no network requests of any kind.

There is no account, no sign-up, and nothing to delete, because nothing is held.

Permissions, and why

Chrome asks for two permissions. Neither is used to collect data.

  • Read the page you are on — required to examine the page's markup and report what it finds. Used only when you open the extension.
  • Inject the audit code into that page — how the tool reads the current document. It runs locally and reports back only to your own browser.

This website

  • This site sets no cookies, which is why you are not seeing a cookie banner.
  • There is no analytics and no third-party tracking of any kind.
  • Standard web server logs record requests (IP address, time, page, browser) for security and troubleshooting. These are held by our hosting provider and are not used to build a profile of you.

Your rights

Because the extension collects nothing, there is no personal data held about you in connection with it.

For anything relating to the website, you have the usual rights under UK data protection law — access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and objection. Email hello@webdesignproducts.uk and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above. Since the extension collects no data, we do not expect to change the substance of it.
